<p>According to an embodiment, a storage system comprises a high-speed first storage device, a low-speed second storage device, a service provision server which provides a plurality of application services, a controller, a movement means, and an adjustment means. The controller stores data relating to the plurality of application services in either the first storage device or the second storage device, according to a prescribed rule. The movement means moves the data from the first storage device to the second storage device in accordance with the amount of data stored in the first storage device. If the amount of data stored in the first storage device is greater than or equal to an upper bound, the adjustment means changes the prescribed rule for data relating to an application service among the plurality of application services which has few movements of data from the second storage device to the first storage device, such that the amount of data stored in the first storage device is reduced.</p> |
