An RRC message construction method and device are disclosed. The method comprises: a network side detects a first RRC message version currently supported by an access terminal; upon detecting that the first RRC message version is different from a second RRC message version supported by the network side, recursively converting the second RRC message version into an RRC message version supported by the access terminal. The present invention solves the problems in the art of RCC message construction schemes being complicated, code maintenance costs being high, and so on, thus reducing the complexity and maintenance costs of RRC message construction. Moreover, because the invention allows for version conversion when the RRC message versions of the network side and terminal are different, the invention also reduces for the network side and server the number of RRC message versions and the amount of code therefor, thus economizing space on the network side and the terminal side. |
