The input device is configured such that, during a touch detection period, sequential drive signals are applied to the N drive electrodes and touch is detected by detection signals output from each of the plurality of detection electrodes. If the input timing for the scanning signals to the scanning signal lines is Ts, the drive signal input action to the N drive electrodes is configured such that drive signal input starts at a Ty input timing from the Nxth drive electrode and the drive electrodes not corresponding to the scanning signal lines inputting scanning signals are selected and drive signals are input.
