The invention relates to an optic smoke detection module (1) which is configured to be optically connected to an external optoelectronic evaluation module (2) via two or more optic-fiber cables (3), wherein the smoke detection module comprises a housing (4), a light decoupling unit arranged in or on the housing and a light coupling unit arranged in or on the housing, wherein the light decoupling unit and the light coupling unit are oriented to each other such that light from the light decoupling unit can be coupled directly or under a scattered-light angle into the light coupling unit, and wherein the light decoupling unit on the inlet side and the light coupling on the outlet side can be connected at least indirectly to the optic-fiber cable. The invention relates to a corresponding optoelectronic evaluation module (2) which is configured to be optically connected to such optic smoke detection module (1) via the two or more optic-fiber cables. Said evaluation module comprises amongst others an electronic evaluation unit (25) for evaluating a receiver signal from a light receiver (23) and for the output of a fire alarm (ALARM) or notification, if the receiver signal deviates in an inadmissible manner from a comparative value. |
