<p>[Problem] To provide, for a windmill for which a large installation space cannot be obtained and which constantly responds to the wind direction, a vertical shaft windmill for power generation wherein the support means is lightweight even though the windmill blades are solar panels, and which easily rotates at a high speed by capturing slight breezes, thereby making it easy to obtain electricity by means of a generator, and which, in combination with solar power generation, has excellent power generation efficiency. [Solution] A windmill for power generation for which wind-catching plate blades are arranged, by means of upper and lower support bodies, at the same position with respect to a vertical shaft that rotationally drives a generator, wherein both support bodies are wire spoke wheels for which multiple intersecting wires are interposed between a boss (fitted onto the vertical shaft) and a rim on the outside thereof, and the plate blades establish a framework for solar panels, and are provided with pockets that are attached to the rim at one end of the framework and additionally catch wind at the vertical frame at that one end.</p> |
