The present invention is provided with: a plurality of input units to which are respectively input video signals from an external apparatus; a plurality of connection units that are respectively associated with the input units to which the external apparatus is connected; a switching unit that switches between the video signals input to the plurality of input units; a first detection unit that detects the presence of a signal from an apparatus connected to the plurality of connection units; and a control unit that, on the basis of first detection results detected by the first detection unit, when the external apparatus is connected to the input units, switches the video signal in accordance with a switching signal output by the switching unit, thus controlling in a manner so that the video signal is displayed on a display unit. |
