PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to be tuned to a desired part of the whole transmission bandwidth on the signal receiving side, in a multi-carrier system such as DVB-T.SOLUTION: In order to tune to a corresponding position, and to receive a desired segment on the receiver side, a transmitter 54 is constituted of signal mapping means 57 for mapping signal data on the frequency carrier of a signal pattern including the position data of respective data segment, data mapping means 58 for mapping data on the frequency carrier of at least two data patterns in a frame, conversion means 60 for converting the signal pattern and data pattern from a frequency domain to time domain to generate a transmission signal in a time domain, and transmission means 61 for transmitting the transmission signal in the time domain. |
