<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability during attachment/detachment of an intermediate transfer unit while maintaining an excellent conveyance accuracy of recording paper to a nip part between an intermediate transfer belt and a secondary transfer roller.SOLUTION: A recording medium conveyance mechanism comprises a conveyance guide 31a for conveying recording paper to a nip part N between a detachable intermediate transfer unit 50 and a secondary transfer roller 210. The conveyance guide 31a turns so that its front end part is disposed in an immediate vicinity of the nip part N while the intermediate transfer unit 50 is mounted to a device main body 11. During attachment/detachment of the intermediate transfer unit 50 to/from the device main body 11, the conveyance guide 31a turns to a position which makes the front end does not pass the mounting position of an intermediate transfer belt 125 part in a conveyance direction of recording paper, in a moving direction of the intermediate transfer unit 50 during the attachment/detachment.</p> |
