<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly prevent a press-fit terminal electrically connected to a through hole without soldering from being detached from the through hole due to vibration and the like at a comparatively small insertion load while restraining failures of insertion in the through hole.SOLUTION: A substrate 20 is elastically held and positioned between a tip locking part 36 curved in a plate thickness direction and a contact part 32 having width dimension larger than that of a connection part 30 and brought into contact with the substrate, and therefore, a press-fit terminal 10 is properly prevented from being detached from a through hole 22 due to vibration and the like. The tip locking part 36 is curved in the plate thickness direction. Therefore, a curve shape of the tip locking part 36 is properly set, so that the press-fit terminal 10 can be reliably prevented from being detached from the through hole 22 while restraining increase of an insertion load into the through hole 22. Also, the press-fit terminal 10 can be inserted in the through hole 22 more properly than a case when the tip is cracked, so as to restrain insertion failures due to displacement.</p> |
