<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for state/mode transmission.SOLUTION: User equipment has a method of processing indication messages, such as SCRI (signaling connection release indication) messages. The user equipment (UE) maintains a count of how many indication messages with one cause setting have been sent by the UE while in at least one radio resource control (RRC) state. A counter is reset according to entering an idle mode from the at least one RRC state. The transition from an idle mode to a connect mode and vice versa is controlled by UTRAN. When idle mode UE requests an RRC connection, the network determines whether to move the UE to the CELL-DCH or CELL-FACH state.</p> |
