PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of recovering silver efficiently from a silver kovar material consisting of kovar coated with silver.SOLUTION: A method of recovering silver from a silver kovar material consisting of slug and an outer frame by an electrolytic treatment with an alkali aqueous solution as electrolytic solution, and the electrolytic treatment is carried out in a state where the combined bulk density of the slug and the outer frame is adjusted to 1.0 g/cmor higher. The electrolytic treatment is preferably carried out e.g. through two operations under different conditions, and, especially in the second operation, the electrolytic treatment is preferably carried out while swinging or rotating an electrolytic basket charged with the silver kovar material. The electrolytic treatment is preferably a cyanogen electrolytic treatment. |
