PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical rolling element housing tool that is rigidly engaged with a reinforcing member without losing flexibility and sufficiently realizes a tensile strength of the reinforcing member itself.SOLUTION: There is provided a linear motion device 1 comprising a rail body 2 and a linear motion body 3 that is moved linearly with respect to the rail body 2 and having an infinite circulation passage 5 through which rolling elements 4 circulate. There is provided a rolling element housing tool arranged at the infinite circulation passage 5 so as to store a plurality of rolling elements 4 at a predetermined distance in a rotatable manner. The rolling element housing tool comprises a main body constituted by spacers 6 each of which is arranged between the adjoining rolling elements 4 and cooperating segments 7 protruded at both sides of the rolling elements 4 in a direction crossing at a right angle with a parallel arrangement direction of each of the spacers 6 while storing the rolling elements 4 so as to cooperate with the spacers 6. The cooperating segments 7 have, at internal portions, reinforcing films 9 having a length in a longitudinal direction of the cooperating segments 7 and the reinforcing films 9 are formed to have a wide width at prescribed positions. |
