PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for shortening the restart time, in a multi-type high-intensity discharge lamp including at least two luminous tubes.SOLUTION: In a high-intensity discharge lamp having an outer tube, at least two inner tubes provided in the outer tube, and a luminous tube provided in each inner tube, the luminous tube has a light-emitting section and capillary sections on both sides of the light-emitting section, electrode leads are projecting from the outer end of the capillary sections, respectively, a proximity conductor is provided on the outside of the luminous tube, both ends of the proximity conductor are attached to the external surface of the capillary sections, respectively, and the proximity conductor is insulated for the electrode lead. |
