PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism in which when a plurality of information processors receive an electronic mail, they can receive an appropriate electronic mail according to account information including an electronic mail reception method.SOLUTION: A client device 101 transmits an electronic mail acquisition request together with account information containing a reception method that is set in a mailer of the client device 101. A mail server 102 receives the electronic mail acquisition request from the client device 101, obtains the mail from a mail box according to the reception method contained in the account information which is transmitted together with the acquisition request, and transmits it to the client device 101.
