PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is capable of achieving the erasure of an image and the formation of the image with one operation.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit forming the image on a recording medium by using one of a developer which is heated within a first temperature range, to be fixable on the recording medium and whose color is unerasable and a developer which is heated within a second temperature range, to be fixable on the recording medium and is heated within a third temperature range, so that the color of the developer is erasable, a heating unit heating the image, to erase the image formed on the recording medium and fix the image formed on the recording medium, and a control unit controlling the heating unit, so that the heating temperature of the heating unit is brought within one of the first temperature range, the second temperature range, and a fourth temperature range satisfying both of the first temperature range and the third temperature range. |
