The present disclosure provides an optical sensing device that comprises a plurality of optical light guide portions. Each optical light guide portion has a sensing region for sensing a property. The device further comprises a support for supporting the optical light guide portions and for positioning the optical light guide portions in a manner such that at least two sensing regions have a different radial positions around a portion of the support such that the optical device is arranged to sense a property at the different radial positions.

1. An optical sensing device comprising:
a plurality of optical light guide portions, each optical light guide portion having a sensing region for sensing a property; a support for supporting the optical light guide portions, the support having a plurality of recesses at the sensing regions, the sensing regions having two or more different radial positions around a portion of the support, the optical light guide portions being attached to the support at the sensing regions such that the sensing regions are positioned between attachment regions, the support being rigid at the sensing regions and arranged such that a strain in any one of the sensing regions is not directly influenced by a change in strain of an or the optical light guide portion outside that sensing region; wherein the optical device is arranged to sense a property at the two or more different radial positions.
