A parking assisting method according to an embodiment of the present invention is performed in a parking assisting apparatus for assisting a vehicle to be parked among a plurality of obstacles. The parking assisting method comprises the steps of: moving a vehicle at a first position backward along a parking track, and halting the backward movement of the vehicle if a specific obstacle among the multiple obstacles is detected; generating a circle along a track between a reference point of the vehicle at the first position and a reference point of the vehicle at a second position among the parking track; and moving the vehicle forward along a tangent line of the circle by a certain distance. Therefore, the present invention enables a user to park a vehicle conveniently and correctly even in a situation which a distance between the vehicle to be parked and an obstacle is very short. |
