PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a laminate member which enables producing a laminate member by suppressing effects of the functional layer on the quality, while considering the handling ability in the production process, in obtaining a laminate member provided with a functional layer on a thin resin film.SOLUTION: A method of producing a laminate member comprises the steps of: delivering a long substrate film taken up in a roll state in the longitudinal direction to form a film; carrying out a patterning treatment, if necessary; and forming a functional layer on the substrate film. The substrate film has a polyimide layer formed by applying a polyamic acid solution onto a supporting material and imidizing. After formation of the functional layer on the side of the polyimide layer, the supporting material is separated and removed by utilizing the boundary surface between the polyimide layer and the supporting material to thin the substrate film. |
