PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet from being damaged even when processing for rotating rollers in a conveying part is executed at start-up.SOLUTION: A control part of a sheet conveying device executes: first acquisition processing for acquiring switching information from an information generation part as first switching information; storing processing for storing the acquired first switching information in a storage part; second acquisition processing (S402) for acquiring switching information from the information generation part as second switching information when the sheet conveying device is started; determination processing (S405) for determining whether the first switching information stored in the storage part matches the second switching information acquired through the second acquisition processing; and roller rotating processing for not rotating rollers in a conveying part (S410) if it is determined through the determination processing that the first switching information does not match the second switching information (S405: NO) and rotating the rollers in the conveying part (S420) if it is determined that the first switching information matches the second switching information.
