PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device that allows freedom of design to be increased without requiring excessive manufacturing cost, although an outer envelope of an air bag is constituted of a center of the outer envelope, a right side face of the outer envelope and a left side face of the outer envelope.SOLUTION: The air bag device comprises a bag-like outer envelope 11 that is inflated and expanded by filling gas. The outer envelope 11 comprises centers (20 and 30) of the outer envelop, a right side face 40 of the outer envelope and a left side face 50 of the outer envelope. The centers (20 and 30) of the outer envelope and the right side face 40 of the outer envelope are combined and the centers (20 and 30) of the outer envelope and the left side face 50 of the outer envelope are combined. The centers (20 and 30) of the outer envelope include a wrinkled portion 30 that is formed by being folded back by a prescribed number of times at folding lines 31 and 32 nearly parallel to a direction A in which an expansion direction of the outer envelope 11 by inflation and expansion is projected along a surface of foundation cloths of the centers of the outer envelope. |
