PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus capable of generating a monochrome X-ray image about the energy of X-ray corresponding to an image noise level.SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes: a material projection data generation part 132 which generates first and second pieces of material projection data corresponding to first and second materials respectively on the basis of first and second pieces of projection data corresponding to first and second X-rays respectively; a reconstruction part 134 which re-constructs each of first and second reconstructed images on the basis of the first and second pieces of material projection data; an energy determination part 138 which determines energy on the basis of an image noise level of monochrome X-ray image acquired by the first and second reconstructed images, first and second imaging conditions regarding generation of the first and the second X-rays and first and second attenuation coefficients corresponding to the first and second materials respectively; and an image generation part 142 which generates a monochrome X-ray image corresponding to the determined energy on the basis of the first and second reconstructed images and the first and second attenuation coefficients corresponding to the determined energy.
