PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information acquisition device and an object detector which can be miniaturized, even when a light-receiving optical system is higher in height than a projection optical system.SOLUTION: An information acquisition device 1 includes a light-emitting device 10, a light-receiving device 20, and a base plate 300 holding the light-emitting device 10 and the light-receiving device 20, so that the light-emitting device 10 and the light-receiving device 20 are arranged side by side at a predetermined distance. The light-receiving device 20 includes a light-receiving optical system 200 where a plurality of optical elements including an imaging lens 220 are arranged side by side in the optical axis direction of the imaging lens 220 and a lens holder 260 holding the light-receiving optical system 200. The base plate 300 holds the lens holder 260 in a surrounding position for surrounding the optical axis of the imaging lens 220 of the lens holder 260, to hold the light-receiving device 20. Thus, the information acquisition device 1 can be made lower in height. |
