PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breakable capsule, a smoking device incorporating the breakable capsule, and production method for the capsule.SOLUTION: A smoking device includes burning products preferably tobacco, or comprises an acceptor which accepts the burning product and a filter element connected to the acceptor, in which the filter includes at least one kind of breakable capsule, the capsule having an initial crush strength Ci of 4.9-24.5 N (0.5-2.5 kp) and sustaining a crush strength Cf of 4.9-24.5 N (0.5-2.5 kp) and showing a deformation of less than two thirds of its diameter prior to rupture after undergoing a smoking test A. Selected hydrophilic colloid is contained in the shell outside the capsule and/or the outer shell is coated with a moisture-proof outer layer, thereby, the capsule can sustain its breakable ability even if the capsule is exposed to the moisture which is caused in the smoking device by a smoker. |
