PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saliva pretreatment liquid capable of removing an aggregation of mucin and streptococcal in silva and performing such treatment as to prevent degeneration on a bacterial cell surface of periodontal pathogens when performing identification/quantification utilizing antigen-antibody reaction on the periodontal pathogens in the silva of a human being or an animal in accordance with immune chromatography.SOLUTION: The treatment liquid for pretreatment when identifying/quantifying periodontal pathogens in the silva in accordance with immune chromatography contains: a nonionic surfactant and/or ampholytic surfactant; one or more selected from the group consisting of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium chloride, magnesium sulfate, manganese sulfate and ammonium chloride; a buffering action imparting substance; and water, and pH of the silva pretreatment liquid is 3 to 8. |
