PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress diffusion of nasty smell even if a large opening is provided as an entrance.SOLUTION: When a pet enters a room 15, or a pet evacuates on an excrement receiving layer 11a, a fan 11f is driven for a certain time, and the smell of excreta that fills the room 15 is sent to a smell eliminating room 21 through the excrement receiving layer 11a, a mesh plate 11b, a funnel part 11c, and a chamber 11d. When flowing toward an exhaust passage 13d, the smell makes a gas-liquid contact with a deodorant liquid 17 dripped from a drip nozzle part 13f, and is eliminated. The gas whose smell has been eliminated is discharged from the upper edge of an opening 13a downward at an end edge 13e of the exhaust passage 13d, and functions as an air curtain to prevent the gas in the room 15 from leaking outdoors from a toilet 1 for a pet through the opening 13a. When a prescribed time passes from the start of driving the fan 11f and the fan 11f stops, the air curtain at the opening 13a is caused to stop. |
