1. A method of decreasing adhesion of a virus to a cell, comprising:
contacting the virus with a fusion polypeptide, wherein the fusion polypeptide comprises a first polypeptide operably linked to a second polypeptide wherein the first polypeptide carries at least one glycan selected from the group consisting of: a) a Siaα3Galα4GlcNAcβ3 glycan, b) a Siaα3Galβ3GlcNAcβ3 glycan, c) a Siaα6Galβ4GlcNAcβ3 glycan, and d) a Siaα6Galβ3GlcNAcβ3 glycan, and the second polypeptide comprises at least a region of an immunoglobulin polypeptide. |
