<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate wrist-type sphygmomanometer having a small size and a thin shape in particular.SOLUTION: A wrist-type sphygmomanometer 2 that locally presses substantially right above a radial artery or an ulnar artery to detect pressure change of the vascular wall and calculates a blood pressure value from the oscillometric waveform, includes: a base plate 28; a cylindrical cam mechanism 26 provided on the base plate 28, for locally pressing substantially right above the radial artery or the ulnar artery; a pressure sensor 32 provided at a tip side of the cylindrical cam mechanism 26, for detecting pressure change of a vascular wall; drive means 18 for driving the cylindrical cam mechanism 26; and drive deceleration means 22, 24 for decelerating rotation of the drive means 18 to transmit the decelerated rotation to the cylindrical cam mechanism 26.</p> |
