Provided is a secondary battery capable of providing excellent lifespan properties. The secondary battery includes a silicon-metal alloy-based anode material, including: a current collector for an anode material; a buffer layer formed on the current collector; and an anode material formed on the buffer layer. The volumetric expansion ratio of the buffer layer is less than the volumetric expansion ratio of the anode material. The buffer layer prevents the anode material from exfoliating from the current collector due to the volumetric expansion of the anode material.
