PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that includes regulating means that regulates, during transmission of driving force between driving means and driven means, separation of the driven means from the driving means, and is not an obstacle on a path to attach/detach a unit to/from the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes a gear 60 that is provided to an apparatus body 1A, a gear 48 that is provided to a fixing device 40 attached/detached to/from the apparatus body 1A and driven by the transmission of driving force of the gear 60, and a regulating member 80 that regulates separation of the gear 48 from the gear 60. The regulating member 80 takes a first position M1 to regulate separation of the gear 48 from the gear 60, and a second position M2 not to regulate separation of the gear 48 from the gear 60. |
