The present invention relates to an ESL system comprising an ESL terminal to transmit a first update information request message through a first network; a gateway to receive the first update information request message from the ESL terminal through the first network and to transmit the first update information request message; and an ESL server to receive the first update information request message from the gateway, to acquire first update information including information about whether a second network is used based on the first update information request message, and to transmit the first update information to the gateway.
