PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that overall correction of white balance correction and color reproduction has not been studies sufficiently in the past.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a light source determination unit for determining a light source by dividing an image inputted from an image input unit into a plurality of luminance ranges for each processing region; a correction parameter calculation unit for determining at least one correction parameter of white balance correction, gamma correction, saturation correction, and hue rotation correction for each luminance range; a correction parameter adjustment unit for adjusting the correction parameters by calculating the correction rate of at least one correction parameter of white balance correction, gamma correction, saturation correction, and hue rotation correction, on the basis of the light source determination results and the feature amount of an image for each luminance range, and then superposing the correction parameter of each luminance range over the entire luminance range; and a correction processing unit for correcting at least one of white balance correction, gamma correction, saturation correction, and hue rotation correction by using the correction parameter thus adjusted. |
