PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhead scanner apparatus which has excellent operability to read documents and is capable of acquiring a high-definition image, and to provide an image acquisition method and a program.SOLUTION: A plurality of images are continuously obtained by controlling an area sensor. Feature points are extracted from the plurality of obtained images and the extracted feature points are compared between a plurality of images, thereby calculating the velocity vector of the feature points. On the basis of the calculated velocity vector, the start of reading by a linear sensor is determined. |
