PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cyclic cationic peptides, and methods of treating microbial infections using the peptides.SOLUTION: The invention provides a cyclic peptide or a variant thereof for use as a pharmaceutical comprising amino acids of the formula I defined by ((X)l(Y)m)n, where l and m are integers from 0 to 10 excluding l=m=0, n is an integer from 1 to 10, and X and Y may be identical or different and are each an amino acid selected from the group consisting of cationic amino acids. |
