PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an appropriate distance between a heat source and a fixing belt over the entire range in a rotation shaft direction of the fixing belt without decreasing durability of the fixing belt, so as to improve heat generating performance of the fixing belt.SOLUTION: A fixing device 18 according to the present invention includes a fixing belt 22 that is rotatably provided thereto, a pressure rotating body 23 that is rotatably provided and brought into pressure contact with the fixing belt 22 to form a fixing nip 31 with the fixing belt 22, a pressing member 26 that presses the fixing belt 22 toward the pressure rotating body 23 from the inside, a heat source 35 that heats the fixing belt 22 from the outside, a support member 27 that faces the heat source 35 across the fixing belt 22 to support the fixing belt 22 from the inside, and end caps 28 that are attached to ends in a rotation shaft direction of the fixing belt 22. The end caps 28 are rotatably supported by the support member 27. |
