A cleaning robot comprises: a device frame; a driving unit which is mounted in the device frame, and moves the device frame while rotating vertically to the moving direction of the device frame; and a foreign material removing unit which is mounted in the device frame in order to remove foreign materials in the surroundings of the device frame. The driving unit includes: a driving operating unit which is placed on the top of the device frame; and a spiral-shaped rotating member which is placed on the bottom of the device frame, is connected with the driving operating unit through a gear unit, and rotates vertically to the moving direction of the device frame. The spiral-shaped rotating member is placed at both ends of the bottom of the device frame as a pair, and forms a spiral respectively in an opposite direction to each other. The pair of spiral-shaped rotating members moves the device frame forward or backward while rotating the same revolutions in the opposite direction to each other. Or, the pair of spiral-shaped rotating members shifts the moving direction of the device frame while rotating different revolutions from each other. Therefore, the cleaning robot can remove a foreign material layer such as deposited sludge by being inputted into the inside of a structure such as a water tank of an iron making facility. |
