The present invention realizes a seawater desalination system which controls preprocessing in a way of reducing dirt of a semipermeable membrane according to the amount of dirt component contained in seawater or salt water, so as to stably obtain fresh water with a low operating cost. In order to solve the above problem, the seawater desalination system of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a semipermeable membrane processing device used for performing desalination for the seawater or salt water by using the semipermeable membrane; a preprocessing device which is configured at a section more front than the semipermeable membrane processing device and used for performing preprocessing for the seawater or salt water supplied to the semipermeable membrane processing device; a preprocessing water polysaccharide measuring unit used for measuring the concentration of polysaccharides contained in the processed water which has been processed by the preprocessing device; and a control unit used for calculating operating quantity of the preprocessing device according to a preprocessing water polysaccharide concentration measured value measured by the preprocessing water polysaccharide measuring unit and a target signal provided in advance, so as to output a control signal to the preprocessing device. |
