Method for manufacturing a gemstone assembly

The method involves retaining a set of gemstones (8) by a flexible carrier (12) in receiving openings. Setting surface (2) and visible surfaces (1) of the each gemstone are arranged in a desired arrangement or randomly distributed so that the visible surfaces lie on one side of a notional surface and the setting surfaces lie on another side of the notional surface. A carrier material is applied in fluid form to the setting surfaces and between the setting surfaces by spraying, sprinkling, wiping, brushing or rolling, and the flexible carrier is formed after hardening. An independent claim is also included for a gemstone arrangement with a set of gemstones that are partially arranged in a flexible carrier.
