摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a plasma display panel with high luminous efficiency by controlling an amount of priming particle emitting powder applied to a specific portion of each display cell. SOLUTION: A coating amount of priming particle emitting powder is controlled by using an electrostatic coating method. The priming particle emitting powder is applied to portions in the vicinity of electrode parts of a scan electrode 2 and a sustain electrode 3, whereas the priming particle emitting powder is not applied to a discharge gap 301 and spaces 302 between the electrodes and ribs 6. Statistical time lag, which is a variation in time to start discharging, is adjusted by creating gradations at the portion in the vicinity of the electrode part of the scan electrode 2 and at the portion in the vicinity of the electrode part of the sustain electrode 3.
