PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clean inner environment by making liquid having an antibacterial component directly act on floating fungus and simultaneously providing a wall surface and the like with antibacterial effect, as ozone concentration is limited and not sufficient to suppress the floating fungus in a storage compartment. SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes: a refrigerating compartment 104 thermally insulated and sectioned by a partition wall; an electrostatic atomizer 131 generating mist of nano-size or smaller including active species in the refrigerating compartment 104; and the stored water 132 for supplying the liquid to the electrostatic atomizer 131. The refrigerator also includes a storage section disposed on a part capable of being visually confirmed in opening and closing a door, in the refrigerating compartment. As the mist generated by electrostatic atomization is mist including hydroxy radical, oxygen radial and the like, and having oxidation-reduction potential higher than ozone, oxidation power is strong and antibacterial property can be improved.
