<p>The edge strip (1) comprises a front cover layer (3), an enamel layer (4) melted for fixing the edge strip on a workpiece, and a water repellent layer (5) that is made of a liquid hydrophobizing agent and faces away from the enamel layer. The water repellent layer covers the entire surface of the enamel layer. The enamel layer is melted by heat and/or radiation source, and has a thickness of 100-400 mu m. The water repellent layer has a thickness of 1-10 mu m. The edge strip further comprises a layer of infra-red absorbers. The enamel layer includes a hot-melt adhesive layer.
