A cross-flow hydro turbine includes at least two annular wheel discs 2 mounted on a central shaft 1 by spokes 3, and a plurality of blades 4 mounted between the annular discs 2. The number of the blades 2 is at least 28 and at most the integer number of an outer circumference measured in centimetres of one annular wheel disc 2. The sum of arc length of one side of all the blades 4 is 0.85-2.0 times the outer circumference. A blade angle formed between two line segments connecting the middle point to the two endpoints of an arc of each blade is in a range of 100-170 degrees. A blade installation angle formed between the chord line of the arc and a radius line of each annular wheel disc is in a range of 15-75 degrees. The central shaft 1 may be hollow. |
