Method and system for image acquisition

The method involves reading a first output value of pixel representative of intensity of radiation received by the pixel for pixels (611) during integration period during which a non-coherent image sensor (609) is illuminated by a secondary beam (615) coherent with a main beam. A second output value of the pixel is read during another integration period during which the sensor is not illuminated by the secondary beam. The reading of the values is repeated no of times by changing, between successive iterations, an angle of incidence (theta0) or phase parameter of the secondary beam. An independent claim is also included for a system for acquiring an image of a scene.
