A filter cover assembly 7 for a machine 3, which may form part of a system such as an internal combustion engine or a transportation vehicle, with one or more filters removably coupled to the machine and the filter cover assembly 7. The filter cover assembly comprises a cover 9 and a mounting mechanism 11 for coupling the cover 9 to the machine 3. The mounting mechanism 11 enables the cover 9 to be placed in a closed configuration in which the cover 9 at least partially covers at least one filter 5 that is coupled with the machine 3, and an open configuration in which the cover 9 enables access to the at least one filter 5. The cover may comprise an inner surface (25, Fig 2) adapted to contact the one or more filters when the cover is in the closed configuration so as to assist the coupling of the one or more filters with the machine. The inner surface is deformable and may comprise a neoprene rubber strip. The filter cover assembly may prevent filters in the form of filter canisters from loosening or disconnection due to vibrations from an engine during engine operation. |
