<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely reduce vibrational energy whether first and second members provided at a horizontal interval and each elongated in a vertical direction each undergo bending deformation or shear deformation, when the first and second members undergoes a horizontal force and the vibrational energy acts on the members, during earthquakes. <P>SOLUTION: This building includes the first and second members which are provided at the horizontal interval and each elongated in the vertical direction, a damper which is disposed between the first and second members and which has one end fixed to the first member, and a diagonal member which has one end fixed to the other end of the damper and which has the other end attached to the second member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
