#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves removing a polymer matrix in a part (20) of an elongated stiffener (10) by pyrolysis to release stiffening fibers for rearranging the fibers after releasing of the fibers from the polymer matrix, where the polymer matrix is constituted of a thermosetting polymer. The part of the stiffener is cooled to limit propagation of heat caused by pyrolysis.
