Extruded SCR filter

A wall-flow filter comprises a catalyst for converting oxides of nitrogen in the presence of a reducing agent, which wall-flow filter comprising an extruded solid body comprising: 10-100% by weight of at least one binder/matrix component; 5-90% by weight of a zeolitic molecular sieve, a non-zeolitic molecular sieve or a mixture of any two or more thereof; and 0-80% by weight optionally stabilised ceria, which catalyst comprising at least one metal, the metal being present throughout the extruded solid body. The binder/matrix component may be selected from the group consisting of a cordierite, nitrides, carbides, borides, and intermetallics, lithium aluminosilicate, an optionally doped alumina, a silica source, titania, zirconia, titania-zirconia, zircon and mixtures of any two therefore. The extruded body may further comprise: 0-80% by weight of a spinel; and 0-25% by weight of inorganic fibres. A process for the manufacture of the wall flow filter is also disclosed.
