METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF UNFAVOURABLE OUTCOME OF HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY

FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is used to measure a patient's blood tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP 1) and a terminal fragment of the Brain Natriuretic Peptide (NT pro BNP). A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is used to determine genotypes of polymorphic variants of G894T gene of endothelial NO-syntase (NOS3) and A(-1903)G gene of chymase (CMA1). If TIMP 1 =< 635.7 ng/ml, NT pro BNP => 42.56 pmole/ml in a combination with the genotype g/t G894T NOS3 and the genotype a/g A(-1903)G CMA1, the unfavourable outcome of the disease is stated.EFFECT: predicting the unfavourable outcome of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy before the first clinical symptoms and promoting more effective primary prevention of the sudden cardiac death and other essential complications of the disease.2 tbl, 3 ex
