The present invention relates to an apparatus for attaching the side walls of a flexible container of a series of flexible containers supplied along a path (Z), the apparatus comprising at least one welding unit (3); and conveying means for conveying the mentioned welding unit along a section of the path (Z) coinciding with the container (2), in which the welding unit (3) comprises a carriage provided with a pair of opposing jaws (6, 7) capable of performing a movement for moving the jaws closer to and farther from one another by the action of a mechanism, and adopting respective closed and open positions for respectively gripping and releasing the container (2) by its side walls, each of the jaws being provided with a head (9, 10) that is movable with respect to its associated jaw and supports more than one welding implement (11, 12, 14, 15), the welding unit comprising a first mechanical actuator for selectively placing the implement (11, 12, 14, 15) that must be used for gripping the container (2) in an operating position when the jaws (6, 7) move closer to one another. |
