<p>An automated reminder system 3 generates messages for customers 13-17 reminding them about a product renewal or service, e.g. vehicle servicing, swimming pool treatments, medical or veterinary appointments or re-ordering of medicines. A profile indicates a renewal profile and reference date e.g. purchase, invoice or reminder date, for each product associated with a customer, a single SMS or email message being generated for each customer, based on the current date, listing all relevant product renewals for the customer. The renewal profile may include a product identifier, renewal period and advance period. Templates may be provided for the message, different templates being available dependent on context, such as the number of renewals due. Client data, product or service data and invoices may be stored in a relational database, allowing automated building of the reminders list. The process may be run daily at the same time of day.</p> |
