PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp type measuring instrument capable of easily and speedily performing clamping work of a measured conductor even in a dark place. SOLUTION: A clamp type measuring instrument 1 includes: an openable/closable pair of clamp arms 3, 3 which clamp a measured conductor 50 by forming an approximate ring shape in a closed state where their ends 31, 31 are butted against each other; and a main body 2 which openably/closably supports the clamp arms 3, 3. The main body 2 has a light irradiation part 7 which emits light in the direction of the ends 31, 31 of the clamp arms 3, 3.
